The Ranch
The Western Ranch
Tales of the Trails Western Ranch is nestled in the pretty South West of Western Australia, where the Karri trees stand tall. Conveniently located between Manjimup, Pemberton and Northcliffe. A good spot for you to visit the local wineries, galleries and natural attractions. Maybe even to ride the Munda Biddi Trail that travels along our boundary.
Driving 400 metres along a quiet gravel road you will come to The Ranch. Being surrounded on 3 sides by state forest provides us with lots of privacy. The property is a sanctuary for wildlife. You can sit on the deck and watch an abundance of bird life, kangaroos, emus and possums. We even saw a quokka.
The ranch is a comfortable timber home. The design is stunning with high windows in the hallway, letting the winter sun in and keeping the summer sun out. It features a cosy lounge with wood fire, separate dining, reading room, bright modern kitchen, bathroom and 4 bedrooms, one with ensuite. Part of the house has a second story. From the office that's located upstairs we can keep an eye on most of the property. But the best spot of the house is definitely the deck. A lovely place to relax overlooking the paddocks or have a nice barbeque.

The Ranch has 3 bedrooms on offer. Two queen rooms and a twin room.
The bedrooms are basic but stylefully decorated. We love to salvage old materials and this shows in our rooms. The twin room for instance has corrogated iron as dado skirting. Our stone room features a rustic stone wall and the timber room boosts a timber cottage wall. When booking, ask for your favourite room.
All linen and towels are supplied.
Unfortunately the rooms have no ensuites. Our cosy bathroom with bath and shower has to be shared.
Meals
Breakfast is included in our prices and is served in the dining room whenever you are ready.
We can provide lunch or dinner on request. If you want to cook yourself you are welcome to use our microwave or BBQ. Or just make yourself a cuppa in our kitchen.

The Munda Biddi Trail is a world-class, nature-based, off-road cycling experience.
Starting in Mundaring, the Trail meanders through scenic river valleys and the magnificent eucalypt forests of Western Australia's South West. For more information have a look on:

The trail between Jarrahwood and Manjimup was completed in July 2011. Construction for the next leg from Manjimup to Pemberton is currently under way. Once completed the Munda Biddi Trail will pass right on the boundary of the Ranch.
We are in the process of becoming Bike Friendly Accredited.
